Spark-STEM Holiday Camp — Science

We sent our 9-year-old to the Spark-STEM Holiday Camp in London, and overall, it was a solid experience. The hands-on science experiments really sparked his interest; he built a mini volcano that erupted with baking soda and vinegar. The instructor, Jenna, was engaging and kept the kids focused throughout the day. I appreciated the small group size, which allowed for more individual attention. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic, with long lines forming as parents arrived, which was frustrating after a long day. Despite that, my son made a new friend and came home excited to share what he learned. I’d recommend this camp, but just be prepared for some minor annoyances during pickup.

They conducted a hands-on experiment where the kids made simple rockets, which he thoroughly enjoyed and even managed to bring one home. The communication from the staff was good, and I appreciated the daily updates via email. However, I found the drop-off process a bit chaotic; parents were crowded around the entrance, making it hard to find a clear way to leave him. Despite that, my son made a new friend and was engaged throughout the day. I'd recommend this camp, particularly for kids who are curious about science but suggest arriving a bit early for drop-off.
