Zebra Skate — Hockey

We recently enrolled our 9-year-old son in the Zebra Skate hockey program in London, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The instructors, like Jake, are clearly passionate about the sport and really engaged with the kids, making each session fun and educational. Our son has developed some basic skills and even made a new friend on the team. I appreciate the great pickup process, which has been smooth each week. However, we've noticed that the lines to check in can get a bit long, especially when everyone arrives at the same time. This can be frustrating on busier days, so arriving early helps. The environment is inclusive, welcoming kids of all skill levels, which is great for our son's confidence. I would recommend this program to parents looking for a good balance of skill development and fun within a supportive setting.

He really enjoyed practicing his stick handling and even made a friend during one of the drills. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, I found the drop-off process a bit chaotic, especially on the first day; it felt like there was no clear direction on where to go. Despite that, my son is looking forward to his weekly sessions, and I think he's gaining not just hockey skills but also teamwork lessons. I’d recommend the program, but it might help if they streamlined the drop-off situation a bit.
