Codecamp Limited — Coding

We recently enrolled our 9-year-old in the weekly coding program at Codecamp Limited in London. The instructor, Max, was very engaging and kept the kids interested throughout the session. My child particularly enjoyed building a simple game and learning about coding logic, which sparked their creativity. The small group size meant that my child received plenty of attention, enhancing their learning experience. However, I did notice that there was quite a bit of screen time involved, which I wish they would balance with more hands-on activities. Pickup was smooth, and the staff communicated well about what the kids worked on during the session. Overall, I would recommend this program for its supportive environment and creative projects, but just be mindful of the screen time if that’s a concern for your child.

My son particularly enjoyed building a mini-game using Scratch, and he couldn't stop talking about it afterward. I appreciated the small group size, which allowed for personalized attention. However, I did notice that the class heavily relied on screen time, which might not suit every child. I'd recommend Codecamp for budding coders but maybe check in with them about balancing screen and offline activities. The pickup process was organized, making it easy to collect my son after class. I think he learned a lot and made new friends, too, which was a bonus!
