Edmonton Interdistrict Youth Soccer Association — Soccer

We enrolled our 6-year-old son in the Edmonton Interdistrict Youth Soccer Association program this season, and overall, it has been a positive experience. The sessions are held weekly at a local park, which provides plenty of outdoor time for the kids to run around. Coach Jenna was fantastic; she really engaged the kids and made them feel excited about learning soccer skills. My son built a solid foundation in teamwork and sportsmanship, making a good friend in the process. However, the check-in process could use some improvement; we found ourselves waiting in long lines for pickup, especially in the first few weeks as everyone was figuring things out. Despite that small annoyance, I feel like this program is a great fit for our active boy, and we plan to continue next season.

My son, who is six and quite active, participated in the Edmonton Interdistrict Youth Soccer Association's weekly program this fall. The instructors, especially Mia, were incredibly engaged and made the sessions fun for the kids. I noticed that my son quickly made friends, which was great for his social skills. The outdoor setting is a real plus, allowing the kids to enjoy the fresh air while learning the fundamentals of soccer. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic at times, with long lines forming as parents waited to collect their kids. It would help if they could implement a more organized system. Overall, I would recommend this program for its solid structure and wonderful staff, but be prepared for some wait time during pickups.
