I recently took my 6-year-old to the Video Game Design program at KidStrong MacLeod Trail in Calgary. The session lasts 45 minutes and involves the kids working on their own mini-game projects. My son created a fun racing game, which he was incredibly proud of. The instructor, Sam, was really engaging and made sure each child received attention, which I appreciated. The small group size helped my son feel more comfortable to express his ideas. One downside was the long lines for check-in. It took a bit longer than I expected, especially with younger kids. However, once we were in, the environment was welcoming, and the staff were supportive. The experience encouraged my son's creativity and problem-solving skills, and he can't wait to go back next week. I would definitely recommend this program for kids who love to create and explore, just be prepared for a bit of a wait at the beginning.
