Theatre Calgary (Max Bell Theatre) — Theatre

My son recently participated in the Theatre Calgary program at the Max Bell Theatre, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructors, particularly a lovely lady named Sarah, were genuinely engaged and enthusiastic, which kept the kids excited about their creative projects. My son loved working on a short play and even got to build some props, which he proudly showed off at home. The inclusive environment made it easy for him to make friends with others who shared his interest in theatre. However, be warned that the lines to pick up kids can be quite long, especially after performances. If you plan to go, it's a good idea to arrive a bit early to avoid the crowd. Despite that minor inconvenience, I would recommend this program for its engaging staff and the opportunity it provides for kids to explore their creativity.

The program encourages participation, and my daughter loved the interactive segments where kids could join in, fostering her creativity. The instructor, Sarah, was engaging and encouraged the kids to express themselves. One minor annoyance was the long lines during intermission, which made it a bit chaotic to grab snacks. It would help if they had more concession staff to manage the crowd better. Despite that, my daughter came home excited about the characters and even started crafting her own play. I appreciate the small group size, which allowed her to connect with other kids. I would recommend this program to fellow parents, especially if your child enjoys drama and creativity.
