PULSE Studios — Theatre

My son, who is outgoing and loves to perform, recently attended the weekly theatre classes at PULSE Studios in Calgary. He enjoyed learning hip hop and street dance routines with the other kids, and it was great to see him build confidence while having fun. The instructor, Jamie, was really engaging and supportive, ensuring everyone felt included. One thing to note is the pickup during busy times—there were a few long lines that made it a bit chaotic, but it was manageable. The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s a solid program for kids who love to dance and express themselves, and I’d recommend it with the caveat of planning for potential wait times at pickup.

My daughter attended the PULSE Studios Theatre class in Calgary for the past month, and overall, it has been a positive experience. We dropped her off every Tuesday evening, and while the instructors, particularly a lady named Sarah, were very enthusiastic and engaging, the drop-off process was a bit chaotic. One time, we had to wait longer than expected to get her settled, which was a bit stressful. However, once inside, she quickly found her groove and made some new friends, which was a huge plus for me as a parent. The class focused on hip hop styles, and I could see my daughter improving her skills while having fun. The group size seemed manageable, allowing for plenty of personal attention. I appreciate the inclusive atmosphere that encourages creativity, but I wish the drop-off procedure could be better organized. Despite minor annoyances, I would recommend it for other kids looking to explore dance.
