The Beach YYC — Tennis

We recently enrolled my 9-year-old in The Beach YYC's half-day tennis program, and overall, it was a solid experience. The venue is unique, with the sandy environment making it fun and different from traditional tennis settings. My son loved learning to serve and rally with other kids in small groups, which allowed for more personalized attention from the instructor, Jake, who was very engaging and motivating. However, the check-in process was a bit chaotic, and we had to wait in long lines for about 15 minutes before getting started. It would be helpful if they could streamline that aspect. Despite this, my son had a great time and made friends, so I’d recommend it for other active kids looking to enjoy tennis in a relaxed environment. Just be prepared for the initial wait.

The instructor, Jamie, was great with the kids and kept them engaged throughout the session. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. We did have to wait in a long line to check in, which was a bit frustrating, especially with antsy kids. However, once we were in, things moved smoothly. My child met a new friend, which was a bonus, and they both had a fantastic time practicing their serves and volleys. The program is reasonably priced, too, making it a good option for families. I would recommend it, but be prepared for possible delays during drop-off.
