Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre — Swimming

We recently enrolled my 6-year-old son in swimming lessons at the Thornhill Aquatic & Recreation Centre in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and made sure each child felt included. My son loved the small group size, which allowed for personalized attention. He was so proud when he learned how to float for the first time! One minor annoyance was the long lines at the front desk during pickup that could use more staffing to speed things up. However, once we got in, the outdoor time after lessons was a hit, allowing the kids to play while parents could unwind. I would recommend this program, especially for active kids looking to improve their swimming skills in a supportive environment.

I also noticed some kids were restless, but my son, being active, thrived in that setting. Overall, I'd recommend it, but just be prepared for some waiting around during busy hours.
