Calgary Patriots Swim Club — Swimming

We recently enrolled our 9-year-old in the Calgary Patriots Swim Club, and overall, it’s been a positive experience. The instructors are really engaged; we met Coach Sarah, who took the time to get to know each swimmer. My child built confidence and improved their strokes while being part of a small group, which really helped with personalized feedback. However, the check-in process could be smoother—there were long lines at the start of the session, making it a bit chaotic. Despite this, my child enjoys the environment and has even made a friend from the group. The program seems supportive and well-suited for kids who are active and eager to improve their swimming skills. We plan to continue, but I hope they can address the pickup situation to make it a bit less hectic.

They focus on skills tailored to each child's level, which is great for my son who is quite active and loves swimming. He’s made a few friends in his group, which has boosted his confidence. One minor issue we ran into was during pickup – it can get a bit crowded, especially at the end of the session, so we had to plan accordingly to avoid the rush. But the communication from the club has been solid, keeping us informed about any changes. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a structured swim program for their kids in Calgary.
