JGFA Canada — Soccer

We enrolled our 6-year-old in the JGFA soccer program in Calgary, and overall, it has been a solid experience. The coaching staff, particularly Coach Mike, was very engaged and really connected well with the kids. He used fun drills to help them build their skills while keeping the atmosphere light. My child enjoyed the practice sessions and looked forward to them each week, especially the outdoor time which is a big draw for him. The group size was small, allowing for more focused attention, which I appreciated. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic, with long lines forming at the end of each session. It could be improved to make it smoother for parents. Additionally, while the program is reasonably priced, I wish there were more clarity on what to expect in terms of equipment and any additional costs. Overall, I would recommend this program to parents of active kids looking to develop their soccer skills in a supportive environment.

Plus, he's made a friend from a neighboring school, which is a nice bonus. One minor annoyance was the long lines at pickup time; it creates a bit of chaos as parents try to grab their kids. However, the overall atmosphere is friendly, and the staff communicates well about any changes or events. I would definitely recommend this program, especially for those looking to get their little ones active and social.
