Calgary South West United Soccer Club — Soccer

We recently enrolled our 6-year-old in the Calgary South West United Soccer Club, and overall, it was a positive experience. The sessions are weekly, and the coaches, like Sarah, really engaged with the kids, making sure they felt included and excited. My son enjoyed his time on the field and even made a few friends, which was wonderful to see. They also emphasize teamwork, which aligns with their values of community engagement. However, I did notice that the sessions can get quite crowded, especially on weekends, which sometimes made it difficult for the kids to hear instructions. Despite that, the outdoor time and active play kept my son entertained and happy. We plan to continue next season, but I hope they find ways to manage the size of the groups better.

My son has been attending the Calgary South West United Soccer Club for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm quite pleased with the experience. The coaches, particularly a gentleman named Mark, have been incredibly engaged and supportive, which has helped my son feel comfortable on the field. He has already made a friend and loves playing with his new teammates every Saturday morning. I appreciate the club's focus on inclusivity; the atmosphere encourages every child to participate, regardless of skill level. However, there was a bit of a frustrating wait during pickup, as there seemed to be a lack of organization with parents trying to collect their kids. This could definitely be improved. But overall, I think it's a solid program, especially for active kids looking to have fun and learn some basic soccer skills.
