Steamoji Calgary North — Science

I enrolled my 9-year-old in the Steamoji Calgary North science program, and overall, we had a solid experience. The program is located at 2060 Symons Valley Parkway NW and runs weekly, which worked well with our schedule. My child was particularly excited about the robotics project where they built a simple robot that moved using sensors. Instructor Mia was very engaging and seemed to connect well with the kids, making learning fun. One downside was the long lines at pickup time, which became a bit frustrating, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker. The group size was small, allowing for plenty of hands-on help. My child came home each week feeling accomplished and eager to share what they learned. I would recommend this program, especially for kids who are creative and interested in STEM subjects.

My child loved the creative project where they built a small robotic arm, which sparked their interest in engineering. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was great for my shy child. One downside was the pickup situation; there were long lines, especially on the first day, which made it a bit chaotic. However, once we settled into the routine, it got better. For parents looking for a hands-on STEM experience, I’d recommend Steamoji, but be prepared for a bit of a wait during pickup.
