We recently attended the Calgary Police Discovery Centre's science program with my 6-year-old, and overall, it was quite enjoyable. The hands-on activities like the fingerprint station kept my child engaged, and they loved trying on the police uniform. The staff, especially our guide, Jenna, was very knowledgeable and great at communicating, making the experience even better. However, we did experience some long lines during the uniform try-on, which was a bit frustrating for my little one, who was eager to jump into each activity. That said, they made a new friend while waiting, which added to the fun. The program does an excellent job of blending learning with play, making it a solid choice for families interested in police work. It's worthwhile, especially considering the admission is free!

We visited the Calgary Police Discovery Centre for the science program last Saturday with my 6-year-old son, and overall, we had a good experience. The staff, especially our guide Jamie, was very engaged and made the activities fun. My son particularly enjoyed the fingerprint station where he learned about forensics and even got to take home a fingerprint card. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was a nice touch. However, I did notice that we had to wait in a long line to get in, which was a bit annoying, especially with an active child who gets restless. Despite this, the interactive exhibits and hands-on projects kept him interested and excited throughout our visit. I would recommend this program to other families, but I suggest arriving early to avoid the lines.
