My son recently participated in the Steamoji robotics program in Calgary Southeast, and overall, we had a solid experience. The instructor, Mia, was very engaged and made the learning process enjoyable. Each week, my son worked on hands-on projects, including building a simple robot that could move around on its own, which he found exciting. The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, and my son even made a friend in the process. One downside was the lengthy pickup lines, which often tested our patience. Sometimes, it felt chaotic as parents scrambled to collect their kids while others were still wrapping up their sessions. However, I think the positive aspects of the program outweigh this annoyance. I would recommend it, especially for children who are creative and enjoy STEM activities.
