MRU Camps — Photography

My daughter attended the MRU Camps Photography program in Calgary this summer, and overall, we had a solid experience. The instructors, particularly a friendly guy named Jake, were very engaged with the kids, helping them explore their creativity through various photography projects. My daughter loved creating a photo collage and learned a lot about framing and composition. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was great. One minor annoyance was the long lines during drop-off and pick-up, which made the process a bit chaotic. However, the complimentary before and after care was a lifesaver for our schedules. If your child enjoys being creative and is at least 8 years old, this camp is definitely worth considering.

My daughter came home excited about the landscape photos she took at Prince's Island Park, and she even made a friend during the group activities. However, we experienced some long lines during drop-off and pickup, which felt a bit chaotic at times. It was hard to find information about where to go initially, which added to the confusion. Still, once inside, my daughter was enthusiastic about her daily projects, and I appreciated the small group size, as it allowed for more personalized attention. I would recommend this camp, particularly for creative kids, but be prepared for some potential wait times.
