Mousse Children’s Art Studio — Photography

We enrolled my 6-year-old son in the Photography program at Mousse Children’s Art Studio in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Mia, was really engaging, fostering an environment where kids felt comfortable to express themselves. My son loved building a mini photo collage using pictures he took around the studio, and it sparked his interest in photography. The small group size helped him receive individual attention, which was great. However, drop-off was a bit chaotic; many parents were trying to get in and out at the same time, which made it a bit stressful for me. Despite this, I would recommend the program, especially for creative kids looking to explore their artistic side without pressure.

The small group size was a bonus, allowing for more one-on-one attention. However, we did experience some long lines during pickup, which was a bit frustrating after a long session. Nonetheless, the atmosphere was supportive and fun, and my daughter came home buzzing with ideas for her next project. I’d recommend it for parents looking for a creative outlet for their kids, just be prepared for a bit of waiting at the end.
