My son attended the Pedalheads Bike Camps in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructors, like Jamie, were really engaged and made sure every child felt included. They focused on outdoor skills like bike riding and nature exploration, which kept my son active and excited throughout the full day. He particularly enjoyed building a small birdhouse using natural materials, which he proudly brought home. The group sizes were small enough that he received plenty of attention. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic; there were long lines, which got a bit stressful at the end of the day. Still, my son made a new friend, and I appreciated the focus on outdoor play. I would recommend this program for active kids who enjoy nature.

My son particularly loved the scavenger hunt where they identified various plants and insects. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic with long lines that could be frustrating at times. It would have been helpful if they’d streamlined that better. Despite this minor annoyance, I’d still recommend it for active kids who thrive in small groups and enjoy time outdoors.
