My daughter recently participated in the Fit Kids — Nature & Outdoors program in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructors, like Sarah, were enthusiastic and really engaged the kids in activities such as building birdhouses and learning about local flora. My daughter, who is quite active, loved the hands-on projects and spent hours outside. The small group size meant she got plenty of attention and support. One downside was the lack of shade during the afternoon sessions, which made it a bit uncomfortable on sunny days. Still, the outdoor setting was refreshing, and she came home excited about the healthy habits they discussed. If you're looking for a way to get your kids active in nature, I would recommend this program with some caution regarding the hot weather.

I enrolled my 9-year-old in the Fit Kids — Nature & Outdoors program in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The kids spent time hiking, exploring nature, and even built a small birdhouse together, which my child really enjoyed. The instructor, Sarah, was enthusiastic and kept the kids engaged throughout the session. The small group size allowed for more personal attention, which was great. However, I did notice a lack of shade during some activities, which became an issue on the sunny days. Although the program is priced between $150-$250, I think the value is there for the active experiences and social interactions my child gained. I would recommend it, but be prepared with hats and sunscreen for those sunny days. It’s a wonderful way to get kids moving outside!
