My daughter has been attending the Nirvana Academy of Violin in Calgary for a few months, and overall, it's been a solid experience. They really emphasize a blend of athleticism and artistry, which I appreciate. Her instructor, Jenna, is particularly engaging and supportive, helping her build both technique and confidence. She has been learning to play 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star' and even participated in a small class concert last week. The small group size allows for more personalized attention, and it seems to really suit her shy nature. However, I did find the communication regarding class schedules a bit lacking; we weren't notified about a change in time for one of the sessions, which caused some confusion. Still, I believe it's a good program for curious kids who want to explore music in a nurturing setting.
