We recently enrolled my 6-year-old at the Elite Martial Arts Academy on Flint Road in Calgary. The weekly classes focus on Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and my son has really enjoyed learning the basics. The instructor, Jake, was engaging and made sure the kids felt comfortable, which I appreciated. The small class size allowed for more personalized attention, which benefited my son greatly since he is quite active. One minor annoyance was the drop-off process; it felt a bit chaotic with too many parents and kids all arriving at the same time. However, once inside, the atmosphere was friendly and inclusive. I can see my son growing more confident with each session. Overall, I would recommend this program to other parents, especially if you're looking for a positive environment for your energetic child.

My son, who is 9 and quite active, recently started attending the Elite Martial Arts Academy on Flint Road in Calgary. He’s been taking the Muay Thai classes for about a month now, and overall, we've had a good experience. The instructor, a friendly guy named Sam, is very engaged with the kids and does a great job ensuring that everyone, regardless of skill level, feels included. My son has already made a friend in the class, which is a plus. However, the pickup process can be a bit chaotic, especially on weekends when there are a lot of families arriving at the same time. We had to stand in a long line on our first day, which was a bit frustrating. Nevertheless, the small group sizes allow for more focused instruction, and my son seems to be developing his skills well. I would recommend this program with the caveat to allow some extra time for pickup.
