My son, who is quite active, has been attending classes at the Calgary Taekwondo Academy for a few months now, and overall, it's been a solid experience. The instructors, like Sarah, are very engaging and focus on making every child feel included, which has helped my son gain confidence. He has learned various techniques and even earned his first belt, which he was so proud of. Classes are well-structured and the small group size allows for personalized attention, making it easier for kids to grasp the material. One minor annoyance was the long lines during pickup, which can get hectic, especially on weekends. However, the positive atmosphere and the skills he's developing keep us coming back. I would definitely recommend it for those looking for a fun and energetic activity for their kids.

We enrolled our 12-year-old at Calgary Taekwondo Academy for their weekly martial arts classes and overall, it’s been a positive experience. My child, who is quite active and enjoys physical challenges, has really engaged with the instructors, especially Coach Mark, who makes every session fun while also focusing on essential skills. They’ve learned the basics of taekwondo, including how to form proper stances and execute basic kicks. One thing to note is that the pickup process can be a bit chaotic, especially on weekends when classes seem to overlap. There were some long lines that made it challenging to get in and out quickly. However, the small class sizes do mean that each child gets plenty of attention, which I appreciate. The inclusive environment fosters a sense of community, and my child has even made a couple of friends from different schools, which is great. We'll definitely continue attending, but I suggest arriving early for pickup!
