My son has been attending the Calgary Karate Pro Kyokushin classes for a few months now, and overall, we're pleased with the experience. The instructor, Mike, does a great job of engaging the kids and instilling discipline while keeping the atmosphere fun. My son loves the sparring sessions and even made a friend in class, which has helped him become more confident. Classes are held at Alberta Bible College on Thursdays, and I appreciate the small group sizes; it allows for more personalized attention. One downside we've encountered is the long lines for check-in, which can be a bit frustrating especially when you're trying to get your child settled before class starts. However, the positive environment and the structure of the program outweigh this issue. I would recommend it for active kids looking to learn martial arts and make new friends.

We enrolled our 9-year-old in the Calgary Karate Pro - Kyokushin classes that run weekly at Alberta Bible College. The instructor, Mike, was very engaging and made the kids feel comfortable right from the start. My child loved learning how to execute basic kicks and punches, and it was rewarding to see their confidence grow with each session. They even made a couple of friends, which was a bonus. One small annoyance was the long lines during pickup; it seemed like parents were not very organized, which made it a bit chaotic at times. Overall, though, I think the program strikes a good balance between discipline and fun, and I would recommend it for active kids looking to build some martial arts skills.
