I enrolled my 7-year-old son in the weekly Languages program at La Casa Latina Restaurant in Calgary, and he had a solid experience. The instructor, a friendly lady named Maria, really seemed to engage the kids in learning Spanish through fun activities like cooking and games. My son loved making his own tacos while practicing new words, which also came with some delicious snacks. The small group size allowed for more individualized attention, which was great. The only downside was the long lines we faced during pickup; it felt a bit chaotic as more parents arrived at once. Overall, I would recommend this program for kids who are outgoing and enjoy hands-on learning, but just be prepared for a bit of a wait at the end of the day.

We recently attended the Language program at La Casa Latina in Calgary with my 9-year-old son. The instructor, Sofia, was very engaging and really knew how to connect with the kids. They enjoyed learning new vocabulary while preparing traditional Mexican dishes, which made the lessons much more enjoyable. My son particularly loved making tacos and even brought some home to share! The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, which was great. However, we found the pickup process a bit chaotic with long lines, which made it a little stressful at the end of the session. Despite that, my son came home excited about his new language skills and made a few friends, which is what I was hoping for. Overall, I would recommend this program if you're looking for a unique way for your child to learn while having fun and trying delicious food.
