Good Start Daycare — Languages

We enrolled our 4-year-old in the Languages program at Good Start Daycare in Calgary, and I’d say the experience has been quite positive overall. The instructor, Maria, was very engaging and created a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged the kids to participate. My child was excited to show me the colorful flashcards they created for basic greetings in Spanish. They also had a small group size, which seemed to help the kids feel more comfortable sharing and learning. One minor annoyance was that the pickup process could feel a bit chaotic at times, especially when picking up multiple children at once. However, the staff was generally very friendly and organized. Overall, I appreciate the emphasis on language skills and the supportive environment, and I would recommend this program for parents looking to introduce their little ones to new languages, especially if they are a bit shy like mine.

My 4-year-old has been attending the Languages program at Good Start Daycare in Calgary for about three months now, and we’ve had a solid experience overall. The instructors, like Miss Sarah, are genuinely engaged and seem to have a knack for making the kids feel comfortable, especially those who are a bit shy. Each week, they explore a different language through songs and creative projects. Last week, my child built a colorful paper puppet to act out a simple story in Spanish, which was delightful to see. One downside, however, is the long lines during pickup, which can be a bit chaotic at times. It'd be great if they could streamline that process. Still, my child is excited to learn and has even started singing some of the songs at home. I’d definitely recommend this program, especially for kids who enjoy a smaller group setting and hands-on activities.
