We enrolled my 12-year-old daughter in the weekly horseback riding program at Humblehorse Ranch in Calgary, and overall, we had a good experience. The ranch is spacious and set up nicely for riding lessons. My daughter was thrilled to learn how to groom and saddle her own horse, named Bella, before they headed out on the trails. The instructors, particularly a lovely lady named Sarah, were very engaged and encouraged the kids to bond with their horses, which was wonderful to see. However, I did find the communication a bit lacking. Information about what to prepare for the lessons was sometimes unclear, and it would have been helpful to get more detailed updates after the sessions. Additionally, on a couple of occasions, the lines for pickup could get a bit long, which was slightly annoying. Despite these small hiccups, my daughter loved the outdoor time and made a few friends along the way, so I’d recommend the program with some caveats.
