Eagle Feather Riding — Horseback Riding

I enrolled my 9-year-old son in the Eagle Feather Riding program in Calgary and overall, we had a solid experience. The lessons are held weekly and the focus on building a connection with the horses was evident. My son particularly enjoyed learning to groom and ride a horse named Daisy, who he affectionately dubbed 'his horse' by the end of the session. The instructor, Sarah, was knowledgeable and genuinely engaged with the kids, which made the lessons enjoyable. However, I did notice that some days, we had to wait in long lines for horse assignments, which was a bit frustrating. Despite that, the small group size allowed for plenty of hands-on experience, and my son made a few new friends. I would recommend this program, especially for active kids who love being outdoors and are interested in horses. Just be prepared for a bit of waiting during busy times.
