We took our 6-year-old to Butterfield Acres Petting Farm for a horseback riding session last Saturday, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and took the time to ensure each child felt comfortable on the horse. My child loved the chance to not just ride but also learn about horse care. We also appreciated the small group size, which made it easier for all the kids to get ample attention. However, we did face some long lines while waiting for our turn, which was a bit frustrating, especially since we arrived early. The farm itself has a nice outdoor setting with goats and picnic spots, adding to the overall enjoyment. I would definitely recommend it, but I suggest arriving early to avoid the lines and getting a chance to explore the farm’s other activities.
