We recently took our 6-year-old to the Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club games, and overall, it was a fun experience. The atmosphere at the Scotiabank Saddledome is lively, and my child was thrilled to see the players in action. The staff were engaged and made sure to explain the rules to kids, which was a bonus. My son even made a friend during one of the intermissions when they both decided to grab a mini puck and play a little. One annoying aspect was the long lines at the concession stand; it took almost half of the intermission just to get some snacks. But the small-group size allowed for personalized attention, which made up for that. I appreciate that they foster an inclusive environment, welcoming kids of various skill levels. We'll definitely return, though I might bring some snacks from home next time to skip the lines.
