Bow Valley Hockey Society — Hockey

We enrolled my son in the Bow Valley Hockey Society's program in Calgary, and overall, it was a positive experience. The staff, particularly Coach Mike, was very engaging and supportive, which helped my son, who is quite active, feel comfortable on the ice. He loved learning how to shoot and passing the puck during the practices. The focus on teamwork and personal growth was evident, and he made a couple of new friends, which was a bonus. However, I did find that the pickup times were occasionally chaotic, with long lines forming as parents waited to collect their kids. This could be improved. Still, I appreciate the clear communication from the organizers about what to expect each week. If you're looking for a good hockey program for younger kids, I would recommend it, just be prepared for some potential wait times during pickup.

Also, it's quite popular, so expect the ice to be crowded during practices. Even with these minor annoyances, my son is thriving and has made some friends in the process, so I would recommend it for other active kids looking to get into hockey.
