Spoon of Sugar – Kids Dance Studio — Dance

My daughter, who is 6 and very active, has been attending the Spoon of Sugar Dance Studio in Calgary for the past couple of months. She absolutely loves her jazz class, where she has learned some fun routines and improved her coordination. The instructor, Mia, is incredibly engaging and really knows how to keep the kids excited about dancing. The small class size means she gets plenty of personal attention, which I appreciate. However, I did notice that the pickup process can get a bit chaotic, especially since many parents arrive at the same time. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it can be a little frustrating. Overall, the inclusive environment is great for children of all skill levels, and my daughter has even made a new friend in class. I would recommend Spoon of Sugar for anyone looking for a supportive dance experience for their kids.

We enrolled our daughter in the Spoon of Sugar Dance Studio’s ballet class in Calgary, and overall, it’s been a positive experience. The instructor, Sarah, is very engaged and truly connects with the kids, which has helped my shy daughter feel more comfortable. She has recently built her confidence through learning basic ballet steps and even made a couple of friends in the small group setting. The studio is lovely and well-equipped, but we did experience some long lines during pickup, which could be improved. Classes are reasonably priced, and we appreciate the focus on creating a supportive environment for the kids. I would recommend it for parents looking for a place that fosters creativity and social skills, but just be prepared for a bit of waiting during dismissal.
