PULSE Studios — Dance

We enrolled my daughter in the weekly Hip Hop class at PULSE Studios in Calgary, and overall, it has been a very positive experience. She’s eight, and I was pleased to see her become more confident in her moves. The instructor, Jenna, was not only skilled but also really engaging; she made the kids feel at ease while pushing them to try new dance styles like Breaking and K-Pop Choreo. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic, especially when parents rushed to grab their kids after class, which led to some long lines. Despite that, my daughter made a friend in her group, which was wonderful to see. The class size was small, allowing for more personal attention. I’d recommend PULSE to anyone looking for a dance program that nurtures growth in a fun environment, just be prepared for the pickup traffic.

My daughter, who's quite active, has been learning various styles like Breaking and K-Pop, and she even performed a mini routine at the end of the last class, which she was proud of. The community atmosphere is supportive, which I appreciate as a parent. One small annoyance is the long lines at pickup time; it can get a bit chaotic as parents try to collect their children. However, I do think the benefits far outweigh this inconvenience. I'd recommend PULSE for any parent looking for a creative and engaging dance program for their child.
