Ballet School Lakeview — Dance

We enrolled our 6-year-old in the weekly dance classes at Ballet School Lakeview in Calgary. The instructors, like Ms. Jenna, were truly engaged and made each child feel welcomed and special. My daughter really enjoyed learning the basic ballet positions and routines. She even made a couple of friends in her small class, which was a bonus. However, I found the pickup process a bit chaotic. There were long lines, making it tricky to find her right away. Overall, the environment feels supportive and inclusive, ideal for children who are active and excited about dance. The $200 fee seems reasonable for the quality of instruction and experience. I would recommend this program, especially if you can plan for the pickup time.

My daughter started attending Ballet School Lakeview in Calgary this past month, and overall, it's been a solid experience. The weekly classes for her age group (5-7) focus on building both dance skills and confidence. Her instructor, Lisa, is particularly engaging and makes the lessons enjoyable. I’ve noticed that my daughter has become more expressive in her movements. The small class size allows for individual attention which is great, especially since she tends to be shy. However, one small annoyance was the long wait at pickup time; it could definitely use some better organization. The supportive environment has helped her make some new friends, which is a bonus. While the price is a bit on the higher side, the quality of the instruction and the nurturing atmosphere make it worthwhile for us. I’d recommend checking it out if your child loves to dance.
