Absolute Dance Inc — Dance

I enrolled my 6-year-old daughter in Absolute Dance Inc's weekly classes in Calgary, and overall, we've had a positive experience. The instructors, like Sophie, are very engaged and make the classes enjoyable. My daughter has been learning ballet and made a beautiful ribbon wand in her first class, which she loved showing off to us. The small group size really helps each child get personal attention, which is great for my daughter, who can be shy. However, the studio can get quite crowded during pickup times, making it a bit chaotic. It would be nice if they could manage the flow a bit better. Despite that, the welcoming environment and the connections she's making with both classmates and staff make it worth it. I would recommend the program, especially if your child enjoys dance and you’re looking for a supportive atmosphere.

The class sizes are small, which has allowed her to receive plenty of attention from her instructor, Lisa, who is both engaging and patient. The weekly sessions focus on building foundational dance skills while also encouraging creativity, which she loves. One of the highlights was the end-of-term performance; it was heartwarming to see the kids support each other. However, I did notice that the pickup process can be a bit chaotic at times, with long lines forming. It’s not a major issue, but something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry. Despite that, my daughter has made friends and looks forward to each class. If you have a little one who enjoys movement and creativity, I would definitely recommend trying it out!
