We attended the OBotz Robotics & Coding class in Calgary for my 9-year-old, and overall, it was a positive experience. The instructor, Sam, was very engaging, making sure every child felt included while working on their projects. My child was particularly excited to build a simple robot and enjoyed coding it to follow directions. The takeaway kit was a nice touch, allowing him to practice at home during the week. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic; we had to wait in long lines, which wasn’t ideal after a long class. Still, I appreciate that the class sizes are kept small, allowing for more one-on-one time with the instructor. If you're looking for a hands-on program that fosters creativity, this is a great option, just plan for the pickup to take a little longer than expected.

My son, who is 9, has been attending the OBOTZ Robotics & Coding program in Calgary for a couple of months now, and overall, we've had a positive experience. Each week, he looks forward to coding and building projects. Recently, he created a small robot that can move around and react to light, which he was really proud of. The instructors, like Mark, seem genuinely engaged with the kids and provide hands-on support, which has made the learning environment enjoyable. One thing I did notice was that the pickup process can be a bit chaotic, especially with so many parents and kids in one area. It sometimes leads to long lines, which can be frustrating. However, I appreciate that the group sizes are relatively small, allowing for more personal attention for each child. While the program is slightly on the expensive side, I think it's worth the investment for the skills my son is gaining. I would recommend this program, especially for those kids who are interested in technology and creative problem-solving.
