My son attended the MRU Camps Coding program in Calgary last week, and overall, it was a positive experience. The instructors, like Alex, were genuinely engaged and made coding fun. My son particularly enjoyed creating his own simple game, which he still talks about. The small group sizes allowed for personalized attention, which was great. However, I did notice that some of the activities involved quite a bit of screen time, which I worry might not be ideal for his age. They also offered complimentary before and after care, which made pickup easier for me. All in all, I’d recommend this camp for kids who are active and curious about coding, but just keep an eye on the screen time.
