I took my 6-year-old to Workshop Studios in Inglewood, Calgary, for their weekly visual arts class, and overall, we had a good experience. The instructor, Sarah, was really engaging and was great at encouraging the kids to express their creativity. My child particularly loved working on a pottery piece and seemed to really enjoy the hands-on approach. The small class size meant that everyone got plenty of attention, which was a big plus. However, at pickup time, it did feel a bit crowded with parents and kids all trying to leave at once, which created a little confusion. Still, the positive atmosphere and the creative projects made it worthwhile. I would definitely recommend it for parents looking for an enriching activity for their kids, just expect a bit of a hustle at the end of class.

My seven-year-old recently attended the Visual Arts program at Workshop Studios in Calgary, and it turned out to be a positive experience overall. The instructor, Sarah, was particularly engaging, encouraging the kids to explore their creativity while guiding them through the pottery project. My child made a small ceramic bowl, which they were proud to bring home. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic, with long lines forming as parents waited to collect their kids. That said, my child came out excited and motivated to try more art projects, which speaks volumes about the experience. I would recommend this program for children who love to express themselves creatively, keeping in mind to arrive a bit earlier for pickup.
