Raw Canvas — Visual Arts

My son attended the Paint Your Pet class at Raw Canvas in Calgary last week and had a really fun time. The studio is located conveniently across from Charbar, which made drop-off easy. The instructor, Mia, was fantastic at guiding the kids through their projects, and my son loved that he was able to learn different painting techniques while creating a portrait of our dog. The relaxed atmosphere was perfect for him, as he is quite creative and thrives in settings where he can express himself. One small annoyance was the long line we encountered during pickup, which made the experience a bit chaotic. Despite that, the small class size meant he got plenty of individual attention. I'd recommend Raw Canvas for young artists looking to explore their creativity, but be prepared for a bit of a wait during busy sessions.

I took my 6-year-old to the Raw Canvas Visual Arts program in Calgary last week, and overall it was a solid experience. My child participated in the 'Paint Your Pet' class and created a fun portrait of our dog, which now hangs proudly on our fridge. The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and kept the kids focused while allowing them to express their creativity. However, I did find the drop-off a bit chaotic. There was a bit of confusion about where to go, which made it a little stressful. Despite that, the small group size allowed for more individual attention, which I really appreciated. If you're looking for a creative outlet for your child, I would recommend this program, but make sure to leave a little extra time for drop-off.
