I took my 6-year-old to the Visual Arts program at the North Mount Pleasant Arts Centre in Calgary last week. The instructor, Sarah, was incredibly engaging and kept the kids focused on their projects. My child loved painting their own small canvas of a sunset, and it was great to see them so excited about creating art. The group size was small, which allowed for more one-on-one attention from Sarah. However, I did notice that the check-in process was a bit chaotic, with long lines forming as parents dropped off their kids. Despite this small annoyance, I felt my child was in a supportive environment. Overall, I think the program is a solid choice for creative kids looking to explore visual arts, but be prepared for some potential waiting time at pickup.
