I took my 6-year-old to the Mousse Children's Art Studio in Calgary, and I found it to be a solid experience. The weekly sessions focus on process-based art, which was refreshing; my child got to create a colorful collage using various materials. The instructor, Mia, was genuinely engaging, helping the kids explore their creativity without pressure. However, I did notice that drop-off was a bit chaotic, with lots of parents and kids congregating in a small area, making it stressful to navigate at times. Despite that, my child loved the freedom to create and even made a new friend during the session. Overall, I think it's a great place for kids to express themselves, but I'd recommend arriving early for drop-off to avoid the rush.

My daughter and I recently attended the weekly Visual Arts program at Mousse Children's Art Studio in Calgary, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, was incredibly patient and engaged with all the kids, encouraging them to explore their creativity without strict guidelines. My daughter created a colorful mixed-media collage, and it was wonderful to see her so immersed in the process. The small group size allowed for more personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, we did encounter a bit of a long line during drop-off, which made us feel a bit rushed at the start. Despite that minor annoyance, the supportive atmosphere and the opportunity for my child to make friends was fantastic. I would recommend this program to other parents, especially if your child enjoys art and creativity.
