Luna Art Studio — Visual Arts

We recently enrolled my 9-year-old in the Luna Art Studio's Visual Arts program in Calgary, and it was a solid experience. My child was excited to work with pastels and acrylics, creating a vibrant landscape that now hangs proudly at home. The instructor, Sarah, was attentive and really encouraged the kids to explore their creativity, which I appreciated. The small group size made it easier for everyone to get individual attention. However, the drop-off was a bit chaotic on the first day, with a lot of parents and kids trying to find their way around the studio. It would have been helpful to have clearer signage or guidance. Overall, I think it’s a great program for fostering creativity, just be prepared for a slightly hectic start. I would recommend it, especially for creative kids looking to experiment with various mediums.

The instructor, Sarah, was very engaging and encouraged the kids to explore different mediums. My son tried his hand at acrylic painting and ended up creating a colorful landscape that he was really proud of. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which I appreciated. However, the pickup process was a bit hectic; we waited in a long line that felt disorganized. While he’s quite the creative type, I’m glad he had the chance to express himself in a supportive environment. I would recommend the program with the caveat that you plan for some extra time during pickup.
