IN ART Studio — Visual Arts

We recently attended the Visual Arts class at IN ART Studio in Calgary with my 9-year-old son, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructor, Sarah, was particularly engaging and supportive, which made the small group size of around six kids ideal for my son to feel comfortable. He loved working on his acrylic painting of a sunset, and I noticed that he was genuinely excited to share it with us. The studio provided all the materials, which was a plus. One issue we encountered was the long line at the check-in desk. It was a bit chaotic as parents dropped off their kids, and I felt it could be managed better. However, once inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. My son made a friend during the class, which was lovely to see. Overall, I would recommend this program, especially for creative kids, but just be prepared for some waiting at pickup.

They worked on a mixed media project where my daughter created a beautiful landscape using watercolors and acrylics, which she was really proud of. The only downside was the communication regarding the class schedule; we had a bit of confusion about the pickup times and ended up waiting for a few minutes. However, the environment was inclusive, and my daughter felt comfortable expressing her creativity. I would recommend this program, especially for kids who like to explore different artistic mediums.
