Edgedale Art Studio — Visual Arts

I enrolled my 6-year-old in the half-day visual arts program at Edgedale Art Studio in Calgary. Overall, it was a solid experience. The space was inviting, and my child was thrilled to work on a painting of their favorite animal, which they proudly brought home. The instructor, Sarah, was attentive and genuinely engaged with the kids, fostering an environment where they felt comfortable expressing themselves. The small group size allowed for more one-on-one attention, which I appreciated. However, the pickup process was a bit chaotic, with long lines forming as parents waited to collect their kids. While it was a minor annoyance, the joy on my child's face made it worth it. I would recommend this program, especially for creative kids looking to explore art in a supportive setting.

We recently attended a half-day visual arts class at Edgedale Art Studio in Calgary with my 6-year-old daughter. She absolutely loved creating her own paintbrush using natural materials, which was part of the day's creative projects. The instructor, Jamie, was very engaging and made sure all the kids felt included and inspired. Pickup was organized well, which relieved some of my usual concerns about chaos. The only minor annoyance was that my daughter wished they had more time to finish her artwork, as the session felt a bit short. Overall, though, we had a great experience and I would recommend it, especially for kids who enjoy arts and crafts.
