Created by Kids — Science

My 8-year-old recently attended the Created by Kids — Science program in Brooklyn, and overall, it was a solid experience. Each week, they explored different scientific concepts through hands-on projects. Last week, they built a simple circuit and it was exciting to see their eyes light up when it worked. The instructor, Susan, really seemed to connect with the kids, fostering curiosity and encouraging questions. One downside was the chaotic drop-off situation. It felt a bit rushed, and I had to wait in a long line to sign them in, which wasn’t ideal. However, once inside, my child quickly engaged with their small group, making a couple of friends along the way. I definitely recommend this program for kids who are creative and enjoy learning by doing, but just be prepared for the morning hustle.

However, I did notice some long lines during drop-off, which made the first day a bit chaotic. Once they got into their activities, though, everything ran smoothly. The small group size really allowed for individualized attention, which I appreciated. My daughter loved the hands-on approach and came home excited to share what she learned. Overall, I would recommend it, but be prepared for a bit of waiting at the start.
