The Park Slope Day Camp — Nature & Outdoors

My 6-year-old attended The Park Slope Day Camp's Nature & Outdoors program last week, and overall, it was a solid experience. The instructors, particularly a staff member named Sarah, were very engaging and made sure the kids felt excited about their outdoor activities. My child loved building a birdhouse and learning about the different trees in the park. They also made a new friend, which was a nice bonus. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic with long lines that made it hard to get my child at times. But once we navigated that, my kid was always bubbling with joy about what they had done throughout the day. If you're looking for a good outdoor program for your active little one, I'd recommend this camp with some caution about the pickup situation.

The instructors, particularly a wonderful lady named Sarah, truly engaged the kids with various outdoor activities, teaching them about local wildlife and ecology. My son especially loved building a small birdhouse and then painting it to take home. It's great that he made a friend during the week, which I think helped him feel more comfortable. One issue we encountered was the long lines during pickup; we often stood around for longer than expected. However, the outdoor time made it worth it, and the staff communicated well about daily activities. I would recommend it, but be prepared for a bit of waiting at times. Overall, we felt it was a solid program for children who love nature and adventure.
