Beansprouts Day Camp — Nature & Outdoors

I enrolled my 6-year-old in the Beansprouts Day Camp's Nature & Outdoors program in Brooklyn, and overall, it was a solid experience. The staff, particularly our instructor, Jamie, was genuinely enthusiastic about teaching the kids. My child came home every day excited about the new things they learned, like identifying different plants and insects. They even built a small birdhouse which I thought was a great hands-on project. One downside was the drop-off and pick-up process. There were long lines each morning, which made it a bit chaotic, especially since it was crowded with parents. However, the staff managed it well once we got through. If your child is active and enjoys being outdoors, this program is a great fit. Just be prepared for some waiting around at the start and end of the day.

However, the lines during drop-off could be a bit lengthy, especially on Monday mornings. I also wished there were more shaded areas for the kids to cool off during the hotter days. Despite these minor annoyances, I would recommend this camp for other parents looking to get their kids excited about nature.
