shy

We recently enrolled my 6-year-old in the La Isla Languages program in Brooklyn, and overall, it was a solid experience. The environment was engaging, with small group sizes that allowed for more personalized attention. Our instructor, Sofia, was particularly great at making the lessons fun and interactive. My child was shy at first, but by the end of the session, he had made a new friend and was excited about the vocabulary they learned. One downside was that the place got a bit crowded, especially during pickup, which made it slightly chaotic. Also, while the food options looked good, I didn’t find anything for kids with allergies, so that might be something to consider for those with dietary needs. Despite these minor issues, we enjoyed the program and will likely continue for another season.

We enrolled our 7-year-old in the La Isla — Languages program in Brooklyn, and overall, it was a positive experience. The staff, particularly our instructor Maria, was truly engaged and made learning Spanish fun for the kids. My child came home excited after building a colorful piñata and learning new vocabulary related to celebrations. The small group size allowed for lots of interaction, which was a plus. However, we did experience some long lines during pickup, which could be a bit frustrating when you’re trying to get home after a busy day. The environment was inclusive, and my child made a friend, which is always a bonus. The program's price is on the higher side, but if your child thrives in a creative setting, it's worth considering. Overall, I would recommend it with a heads-up about the pickup situation.
