Created by Kids — Entrepreneurship

I recently enrolled my 9-year-old in the Created by Kids — Entrepreneurship program in Brooklyn, and overall, it was a positive experience. My child was thrilled to learn about creating a business plan and even designed a simple product—a custom phone case. The instructor, Ben, was very engaging and encouraged the kids to brainstorm their ideas. I appreciate that the group was small, which allowed for personalized attention. However, we did encounter long lines during pickup, which was a bit annoying after a long day. Despite this minor inconvenience, I think the program instilled valuable lessons in creativity and teamwork. I would recommend it for any child interested in entrepreneurship, but be prepared for some time spent waiting to pick them up. Overall, a solid experience for budding young entrepreneurs!

The small group size allowed for plenty of interaction with the instructor, a friendly guy named Mark, who clearly had a passion for teaching business concepts to kids. My son worked on developing his own product idea and even created a prototype out of recycled materials. It was great to see him brainstorming and getting excited about entrepreneurship! However, the program does come with a higher price tag, which made me hesitate a bit. Additionally, they have frequent discussions about extra materials that aren't included in the initial cost. I would recommend this program, especially if your child is creative and enjoys hands-on projects. Just be prepared for some potential extra expenses along the way.
