Backyard Explorers — Entrepreneurship

My son participated in the Backyard Explorers program in Brooklyn, and it was a solid experience overall. Each week, he and a small group of peers worked on different aspects of entrepreneurship. They even created their own mini-businesses, which was exciting for him. The instructor, Sarah, was not only knowledgeable but also very engaging, helping the kids brainstorm ideas and encouraging their creativity. One minor annoyance was the high cost; while the program is worth it, the additional expenses for materials added up over time. Pickup was organized well, which I appreciated, as I always felt my child was in safe hands. My son, who is quite creative, thrived in this environment and even made a few friends along the way. I’d recommend Backyard Explorers, but be prepared for some extra costs throughout the program.

My son, who is 9 and quite outgoing, recently attended the Backyard Explorers entrepreneurship program in Brooklyn. He got to create his own lemonade stand business plan, which he really enjoyed. The staff, especially Sarah, were great at motivating the kids and encouraging their ideas. The small group size was a big plus, allowing for plenty of personal attention. However, the pickup process could use some improvement; we had to wait in a long line which was a bit frustrating after a busy day. Overall, he learned a lot about teamwork and creativity through hands-on activities, and he made a few new friends too. I would recommend this program, especially for kids who enjoy a creative challenge.
