PLAYDAY Park Slope — Visual Arts

My 6-year-old daughter recently joined the Visual Arts program at PLAYDAY Park Slope, and overall, it was a positive experience. The program meets weekly, which fits our schedule well. The instructor, Mia, was engaging and encouraged the kids to explore various mediums. My daughter particularly loved creating a mixed-media collage and proudly brought it home. The small group size allowed for personalized attention, which was great for her creativity. However, I did notice that some of the sessions felt a bit crowded, especially during pickup when parents were all trying to gather their kids at once. It would be nice if they could manage that a bit better. Despite this small annoyance, I would recommend this program for those looking to enhance their child's artistic skills in a supportive environment.

I appreciated that the group size was small, which allowed for more individualized attention. However, I did find the pickup process a bit chaotic with long lines, which can be frustrating at times. It would help if they could streamline that a bit. The program runs weekly, and it seems to be a great way for kids to express themselves creatively while making friends. We'll likely continue, but I hope they can improve on the logistics during pickup.
